FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

At PureSkin, transparency is essential. This FAQ section helps you better understand laser tattoo removal, its effects, results, and the steps involved in your care.

Tattoo removal can be performed on most skin types, but certain skin types require special precautions. Dark, olive, or very sensitive skin carries a higher risk of pigmentation issues. This is why a thorough diagnosis is always conducted before any treatment at PureSkin, in order to assess the feasibility of the treatment, adapt the laser settings, and ensure maximum safety.
The sensation is comparable to a slight tingling or a rubber band snapping against the skin. Most clients tolerate the treatment very well. For added comfort, a skin cooling system can be used before and during the session. An anesthetic cream can also be applied one hour before the session.
After the session, it is normal to observe redness, slight swelling, or a sensation of heat in the treated area. These reactions generally disappear within a few hours to a few days. Small scabs may also appear temporarily.
When performed correctly and aftercare instructions are followed, the risk of scarring is very low. At PureSkin, we use technology adapted to each skin type to minimize risks.
It is strongly advised to avoid sun exposure before and after a tattoo removal session. Sun exposure can increase the risk of complications and hyperpigmentation. Sun protection is essential throughout the duration of the treatment.
An interval of 6 to 8 weeks between each session is recommended. This period allows the skin to regenerate properly and the body to gradually eliminate the pigments through the lymphatic system.
The number of sessions varies depending on the size, depth, and color of the tattoo, as well as the skin’s reaction. On average, 6 to 10 sessions are required to achieve optimal results. During your first consultation at PureSkin, a personalized treatment plan is established to meet your specific needs.
The majority of tattoos can be significantly faded or even completely erased. Black inks generally respond better to treatment than certain very light or very bright colors.
After the session, it is important to keep the area clean, apply a healing cream, and avoid the sun, saunas, swimming pools, and friction for a few days. All
aftercare instructions will be explained to you in detail at PureSkin.
The price depends on the size of the tattoo, its complexity, and the number of sessions required. A personalized quote is provided after the first free evaluation.
